Emo Makeup - Completing the Emo Look

Emo is usually associated with emotional rock music. To be emo, you have to understand what it really means. And maybe you already read all the how to's to became totally emo. You tested yourself and you found out that you enjoy sensitive, in some sense whiny music that is thoroughly emo. So you have an emo music taste, check. You have emo opinions, check. You perfected the emo hairstyle and emo wardrobe, check and check. Why not top it off with a totally emo face. While it may ostracize you from your non-emo friends, just think that you are doing this not because you just want to pose as an emo but because this is what you are. Here are some simple steps in doing emo makeup.

Emo style make up for boys and girls

You will need:

• Moisturizer
• Foundation
• Eye shadow
• Eye liner (liquid or pencil)
• Mascara
• Chap stick or light lipstick tones
• Loose powder (shade one tone lighter than your actual skin tone)

Here are the instructions on how to apply:

1. Note that you need to have this look for the entire day. For the make up to stick, apply moisturizer on your face and neck. Make sure you apply it thoroughly as we do not want to have a patchy looking face. Use moisturizers that have sun block in them so as to further boost the pale face.

2. Emo make up highly rests on the fact that you look pale. However, using foundation a tone lighter that your actual color will look unutterably silly especially in pictures so your best bet is to use same color foundation on your face but we will slightly lighten it with loose powder later. Apply the foundation on your face and blend it to your neck down. If your top slightly shows some part of the chest area, better use foundation to cover that area as well.

3. Some say that it is best to place the eye liner before the shadow but that somehow looks messy so it is advisable to dab on some shadow first. If you are a guy, you can skip this step entirely or stick to black or grey. If you are a girl, you can use other colors, from black, grey, pink, red, purple, green, whatever you fancy. Do not overdo it. Best to dab the eye shadow until the inner lid only.

4. Remove excess shadow on the base of the lids by brushing it with a blush on applicator or a Q-tip. If you are a beginner, use a soft black eye liner to line the upper lid and the lower, making sure you dab it from the inner part to the outer. Also, stick close to the lash line when doing this. If you are a bit more experienced in putting make upon, you can use the liquid liner.

5. Apply the loose powder to sort of seal the makeup together. Sort of like the glue for everything.

6. Apply two coats of black mascara, making sure not to clump the lashes together.

7. Finish off with an application of pale lipstick or if you are a guy, you can do with just lip balm.

Voila! You now have the dark, angst filled emo makeup. Make sure you bring some of these cosmetics in your bag as you may have to do touch ups at the middle of the day. Just a rule of thumb, never, ever over do it.

Look Younger - Buy Cosmetics Products

Women worldwide work hard to look fantastic. This is especially true as a woman ages and she has to start using cosmetics products to help her look and feel great. The goal for any beauty regime rests in the liability of the products. For some women, they spend 100's of dollars a week into the latest and most trendy creams and lotions that promise to take twenty or even thirty years off their appearance. Other women buy old favorites in an effort to continue looking as good as their age allow.

Cleansing your face should always be the first consideration for every woman who cares about the look and feel of her skin. There are several cosmetics products available that are made just for cleansing your face. In order to choose the right product a woman should first be fully aware of her particular skin type. Some women have dry skin, while others struggle with oily patches of skin. The third and most common type of skin is combination skin. Buying a cleansing product that is specifically made for your skin will help make it look perfect.

Afterwards you should use a moisturizer. Before the introduction of all the most expensive cosmetic lines in recent years, women had only a few choices in moisturizers. Some women are still turning to those well-known and true cosmetics products. There is much to be said for the newer products though as they contain state of the art chemicals and natural products that can aid in keeping skin looking wrinkle-free and smooth. A lot of the representatives who work at cosmetic counters in major stores are more than willing to give out free, small samples of moisturizing products so the potential buyers can try them to ensure they are a perfect match for their skin.

Most Women loves putting make-up on. Make-up can completely change a woman's appearance. It can hide blemishes and also make fine lines seem more visible. Although many women choose a specific cosmetic brand and then buy mascara, foundation, eye shadow and lipstick just from it, most women take a more liberal approach. One make-up line may have mascara that is ideal for your lashes, while another has the perfect eye shadow trio. There is no hard and fast rule that states that a woman can't mix and match her make-up.

Saving money is typically something that most women would love to do when it comes to their cosmetics products. Although some products like mascara and foundation aren't meant to last for years, you can certainly purchase more than one of any make-up item if it's on sale. Not only does this give you a back-up, but a great idea is to keep one of everything at home and a duplicate at the office. This way if you have to make any touch-ups during the day, you can.

When you begin to bring this information together about cosmetics products, it starts to form the main idea.

Cosmetic and Make Up Tips

Cosmetics can do wonders for most women. There are so many to choose from. Between having an infinite amount of colors and shades and places to put the makeup on your face the possibilities are endless. It does take a bit of practice applying make up the right way.

Most women start at a very young age. I remember getting my first make up kit at like seven years old. Granted it was mostly clear and light pink lip gloss and powder. No eye liner or mascara so that I could poke my eyes out. It is fun to have cosmetic parties and apply make up to all of your girlfriends, it's the best way to practice with colors. That's how a lot of professional make up cosmetic artist got the passion for it.

I think I am pretty good at applying cosmetics but I definitely love getting the chance to have my make up done professionally. The cosmetic counters in the department store do a pretty good job, but personally I would rather do to a makeup artist that does models for their photo shoots.

When I got married I booked a makeup artist for all of my bride's maids and myself, it was the best cosmetic job we got ever, and the price was reasonable. If only we could all get our makeup done professionally all the time. Cosmetics are fun but I would warn getting dependent on them. There are some foundations that may make you break out if you have sensitive skin, but then there are others that will improve your complexion.

Also if you wear make up every day you may get dependent on the cosmetics. If this happens then you won't want to miss a day without them, but then people will not think any special when you actually need to get dressed up one day. Always keep your cosmetics light and fresh, try new colors and application styles. There are a ton of self help and how to books for make up.

Emo Hairstyles

Emo Hairstyles are becoming more and more popular nowadays - What has led to such an increase in people wanting to adopt this new emo haircut? For starters, bands such as Green Day and My Chemical Romance have transmitted the message that these emo hairstyles are the new fashion.

Not only the above but they are becoming more common on TV, on the streets and everywhere else you might look. I suppose it's because the society's independence is growing. More teenagers now have more freedom than 10 years ago. Afterall, the main message that emo haircuts convey is the freedom of expression.

An emo haircut allows the person, whether it is a girl or a boy to shape their hair in any way they want from highlighting their white blonde hair to a classical short mullet style. This type of haircut can never go wrong as it represents a person's personality. Many emo people spend a long time in front of the mirror working their socks off to achieve that perfect haircut they are after.

Not only have the emo hairstyles become more popular but they are now also considered more 'sexy'. You can see various images of emo hairstyles and compare them to other type of haircuts and see which you find more attractive - I am not saying that all types of emo haircuts are 'cool' and 'cute' but a high majority of them are. If a person knows exactly they are after then they are going to achieve it and be unique on the streets.

In conclusion, if you would like to find out more about emo hairstyles and other emo fashion then I encourage you to visit the website below. Afterall, all you need is some dye, scissors and maybe a razor to achieve the perfect haircut illustrating your personality!

What Is Emo Make Up?

The emo 'look' is dark eyes, pale skin with dark nails, eyes and lips and goes beyond clothing and make up as it is a lifestyle. It is mistakenly seen by some as a Goth look, however in reality is not as 'dark' as Goth and has more color with a specific lifestyle, music and outlook towards life.

If you want to take it up seriously then look into it a bit closer. Acting as if you are an exponent of the emo culture will result in you being ostracized by people, both other cultures and emo - you must live it as your natural self and not emulate some other person.

Emo make up is quite fundamental, hair being one facet. A number of styles create the emo look, not only short, butch hair styles. Hair can be dyed black and may be layered, colored in streaks or straight. Black and pink dyed hair is in style (without curls and your choice of cut or length) with barrettes placed at random or making use of bangs.

A clean face is the beginning point for emo make up. A gentle cleanser should be used and toners must be applied after make up is removed in the evening. A thick emo foundation is necessary and can be traditional if your skin tone is fairly even. Essentially the emo look involves an even skin tone with a pale, single color (no marks or blotches visible). A hard edge look may not be so radical if you have pimples.

Eyes form the focal point in emo make up, involving numerous application methods - trial and error will determine your preference. Black eyeliners are essential, drawn close to the eyelashes, followed by a violet or purple liner on top of that towards the eyebrows. Add eyeliner below the eye for effect. Pencil liners underneath the eyes create a smudged appearance. For a black line inside the lower eyelid, use a pencil because liners will sting and affect eyesight.

Eyelids should have a dark eye shadow with a light highlighting eye shadow underneath the eyebrows which will accentuate the dark around the eyes. Another highlight around the black can be dark red. Apply plenty of black mascara making sure the layers dry properly before applying the next one - 3 layers are normal. You may need to tone it down for the work place.

For the nails, a number of colors are suitable - dark red, dark purple, black or white stripes on black while lips require dark lipsticks like dark purple and dark red. Application of emo make up is uncomplicated yet achieves an incredible look.

How to Remove Makeup

Makeup removers are very necessary for cleaning the skin from makeup. There are large numbers of women with normal skin, used cleanser before going to bed at night for removing makeup from the surface of the skin. Removing the makeup in the evening is a must in order to let your skin breathe and regenerate during the whole night. There are two types of makeup - oily and non oily. Non oily makeup is such things as eye shadow, blushes, and powdered makeup. Oily types are lipsticks, rouge, mascara, and liquid makeup. Each type requires a specific method of removal. It is recommended that an area of clothing, such as a seam allowance, be tested before removal attempts to insure that the fabric is not going to be damaged. If the stains get on carpeting, test your cleaning method on an area of rug .

Removing eye makeup can be one of the more tricky areas of the face, as the skin around your eyes is the most sensitive. The most basic cleanser is soap, and this is an option, but it can be drying to the skin and harsh on the eyes. The best method to remove makeup is that takes a few drops of cosmetic makeup removers on a cotton ball and gently use for removing makeup from the face. Household ammonia is another good resource for removing lipstick. First blot the stain with a bit of water to remove as much of the lipstick as possible, then treat with a little ammonia, and rinse and wash per care label instructions. Removing finger nail polish is also fairly easy. Simply use an acetone based fingernail polish remover to remove the stain. Using a stainless steel spoon, gently drip small amounts of fingernail polish remover over the stain and let the residue drip into the bowl, working it in with your finger.

There are many different ways to remove stains from cosmetics. Mineral oil is best for removing make up.it is even cheaper than baby oil. Eye makeup that is very stubborn requires a solvent and removes mascara gently and can easily rinse off. Use sweet almond oil. It works great and is very cheap and good for the skin too. When removing heavy eye make up to use cheapest petroleum jelly and old washcloth dampened with very warm water to remove heavy eye make up and
use cotton balls dipped in baby oil and then wash face with dove soap also moisturizes the face. When removing lip make up always use cold cream to remove lipsticks as this will help to soften and condition lips. Avoid washing off eye makeup with cleanser, as it's too harsh and drying for this delicate area.

Remove Makeup Tips

1. Start by removing your eye makeup with a cotton ball that's been moistened with eye makeup remover formula.

2. Put eye makeup remover on a cotton ball to takeoff eye makeup.

3. Don't use regular makeup remover on your eyes because it might be too harsh.

4. Use cleansing milk with cotton wool to take off surface makeup.

5. Spend at least a minute lathering the facial cleanser on your skin before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.

6. Don't use normal or non-"tear free" shampoos because they will cause stinging.

7. Always apply moisturizer.

3 Steps To Natural Summer Makeup

Summer demands fuss free makeup. A naturally pretty look that would not streak when you sweat. Something that is low maintainence and which looks great on the beach.

The trouble is, that carefree, nude makeup look is a lot harder to achieve than a painted face. How do you use makeup and look like you were born that way?

Start by taking care of your skin now. Your body is made up of what you eat and drink. Eat junk food and drink lots of sweet carbonated water and caffeine, and that's what your body has to work with. Your skin reflects the state of your health. If your body is full of junk, your skin is likely to be spotty, congested or at least, far from its best. You might get away with it while you are young, but sooner or later, your excesses would catch up with you.

Skip the cola. Drink lots of plain water, spring water or mineral water instead. Get a two liter bottle of mineral water, or fill a 2 liter bottle with drinking water and make it a point to finish that by the end of the day. If you can't tolerate plain water, squeeze a lemon and add that lemon juice to your water to flavor it. This would give your body a chance to clean out the junk.

Next, cut down on that junk food.Oily fries with an oily burger is going to load your body with more grease. If your skin is spotty, it might help if you cut down on the grease and sugar. By the way, bacteria loves sugar and you can thank bacteria for those infected spots on your face. Stop feeding the bacteria, keep your hands and hair off your face and let your skin recover. Great summer makeup is best achieved with good skin, so the sooner you start, the better for you.

Now for the actual makeup. If you take care of your skin, putting on that natural beach makeup would be very simple.

Step 1 - Perfect with concealer

Depending on the state of your skin, you may or may not need concealer. If your skin is great, just use a tinted moisturizer like Burt's Bees moisturizer to add color to your face. Pick a shade as close to your natural coloring as possible.

If you have zits, then use a brush and dab on a little concealer over it. If you have dark rings, hide them with a concealer as well. Use as little as possible to keep your look natural.

Step 2 - Paint with lipstick

Make your lips thoroughly kissable. Soft, rosy lips that glisten in the sun are perfect for summer... and all year round.

You'll need a touch of lipstick to add color to your bare face. Go for a pretty color like coral, rose, or a soft pink. The trick is to look in the mirror and see the color inside your lip. Pick your lipstick in a color similar to that for the most natural, prettiest look.

Take a lip brush and paint on the lipstick. Start by drawing the outline of your lips with the lip brush, then fill then in. Blot the lipstick with a tissue paper, then apply again. This would help the color stay on longer. Slick on a lip gloss for shine over the entire lips, or at least over the center of your bottom lip to make your lips look fuller.

Step 3 - Highlight with mascara

Bring the focus to your eyes. Your eyes are your best asset. Especially when framed by lush eyelashes. Since it is summer, go for a waterproof mascara. Make sure you get a good eye makeup remover to remove it each night before you sleep.

Get ready a clean mascara wand to separate your lashes. You can wash and dry the wand of an old mascara, or you could buy an eyelash comb.

Apply mascara over your upper lashes. Then touch a little mascara on your lower lashes with the tip of your mascara wand. Separate the lashes with a clean mascara brush or wand and let the mascara dry. Once the mascara is completely dry, you may apply a second coat if you want more dramatic lashes. Separate the lashes after this second coat as well.

The Importance Of Cosmetics And Make Up

Make up has been around foe several centuries already. Among the more notable people to wear these beauty enhancers are the Egyptians. In fact the first known historical record of using cosmetics to enhance beauty or parts of the face and body was in Egypt during the First Dynasty around the years 3100 - 2907 BC. Make up back then was just the simple eye coloring that is reminiscent of most Egyptians paintings where the eyes are colored with kohl and other elements and substances. During that time, Egyptians were also very much aware of the effects of the harsh sun on their skin and they already have a sort of lotion to keep their skin moisturized and supple.

Make up eventually evolved from the Egyptian kohl to the French rouge, which was used to make the lips red and the cheeks blush. Today, make up plays a vital role for both men and women everywhere. There are many products that are produced to be organic or hypoallergenic in order to meet the demands of the many cosmetics users.

Uses Of Make Up

Most people use make up to enhance and beautify. This is usually the most common use of make up there is and the most prevalent. Other uses of make up include covering up scars and deformities that can be debilitating. Although it is of the same purpose as a beauty aid, this use helps build up the self esteem and confidence of an individual.

Make up is also need in certain jobs and professions mostly centered in the show business industry. Being under harsh lights and the constant glare of camera flashes has prompted many show business personalities to arm themselves with make up instead of appearing in unfavorable conditions and disappointing their fans. Since their appearance is one of their most valuable assets, they must make every endeavor to appear as the fans want them to appear.

Other use of make up that has just recently surfaced is as sun protection. Many manufacturers of beauty products and cosmetics have accommodated the need of most people to protect themselves and their skin from the rays of the sun. This is a great development because before, sun protection and make up were quite difficult to blend together.

Today cosmetics play a great role in everyday life and the industry generates several billion dollars in products and income. It has become an everyday tool to make men and women more presentable.

Makeup For Photography

Modelling is perhaps the most difficult of professions, because you are judged on both your performance as well as your looks. There are many simple things that you can do to help you to become a successful professional.

Some feel that makeup and trick photography can overcome all flaws in the appearance, but this is not true. Makeup can just make you look your best in front of the camera, and a skilful photographer can employ many techniques to downplay flaws and highlight the better features.

Makeup helps model look their best. Since a photograph becomes a permanent record of a moment in time, models captured at that moment must look their best. “Looking their best” can mean many things, depending upon the objective that the models being photographed for. The objective may demand them to be most attractive, most intelligent looking, most dignified, most thoughtful, or that they look the part of whatever character they are meant to personify.

Professional models and the photographers who take their pictures know that the most important enhancement of an individual’s face is not only achieved by the application of make up, but also by a healthy appearance. Maintaining good health ensures that a model’s eyes and skin looks best. In this case, any amount or style of make up will do. Getting lots of sleep and drinking plenty of water are keys to great looking skin.

Many different things come into play in creating a photograph that fulfils the objectives, including a model’s expression, carriage, body language, state of mind, actions, physical attributes, clothing and so on. If someone truly feels that they look the way they want to, then it is often easier for them to actually portray the image they wish to convey, adopting the body language, expression and so on that suit the role. “Looking the part” is
where makeup for photography comes in.

Why Use Makeup?

There are two objectives in using makeup, appearance enhancement and character change.

ENHANCEMENT

The common goal is to enhance a model’s skin and features in order to make them appear as attractive as he or she can be. Makeup can be used to correct certain shortcomings and problems, such as skin imperfections and short eyelashes, and can even alter the appearance of a person’s facial structure.

CHARACTER CHANGE

The goal of makeup is what we readily associate with the entertainment industry, and that is the creation of a much altered or completely different Looking character, for example, a haute couture or space alien. However, character change need not be so extreme. It also happens in the modelling industry, where the look of the model is altered to suit a particular role or character he or she is meant to portray while shooting for the advertising of a product. What would the theatre be without the skilled hands of a character makeup specialist?

Makeup For Photography

The model that learns basic makeup techniques at the initial stage has a head start over others. Professional photographers employ makeup artists for the shoot of professional models, and for portraits of ordinary people. Most often, however, portraits are made of people who apply their own makeup, or who do not use makeup at all, and it is not uncommon for models to be expected to take care of their own makeup needs. Thus, a model that has a good understanding of the theory and personal application of makeup has a definite edge over the model that does not. Similarly, a portrait of a person with proper makeup will be far better than a portrait of a person who has not applied any makeup at all.

The complexity of photography is that it tends to capture not only good attributes but also the flaws of the person being photographed. Some say a photograph will even exaggerate the less desirable attributes. For example, one will often hears that the camera adds weight to a person, tends to make skin look rougher, makes blemishes stand out or causes features to be more defined.

Once your makeup is properly applied, it leads to greater confidence while posing in front of the camera. Photography can do all of these things, but it does not have to. The skills of the photographer, the image stylist, the hairdresser and the makeup artist can do exactly the opposite, ie., make a person look less heavy, make their skin look smoother, remove many blemishes and skin flaws, and downplay facial features. A big part of their ability to do so comes in identifying and defining the flaws in the first place, so they can come up with a game plan to deal with them. At the same time, they must recognize the more flattering features of their subject. Properly applied makeup enhances attractive features, it does not create them.

The Art of Photography Enhanced

Shoot near a big window with lights coming in so that natural lighting is used during the photography session. If photography is taking place outdoors, do so in the evening around 4 pm to 5 pm, when the sun is about to set. Soft lighting enhances the appearance.

Preparing the face

Wash, exfoliate, tone and moisturise your face before applying makeup. Oil control is very important. If you can, use oil free formulated products. Keep hair away from the face.

Foundation

Choose a thicker formulated foundation rather than the sheer one that are used in daily applications so that all blemishes are covered easily. Blend foundation from chin to neck so that they are of the same colour.

Powder

Use lots of it, and re apply between shots, so as to create a matt finish look.

Concealer

Two shades lighter than skin to cover blemishes and dark spots; apply before foundation application.

Eyes

Highlight eyebrow bones using light shadow to create lively eyes. Avoid eye shadow that is too frosty or shimmery because it will appear shiny. Apply eyeliner with precision. Use waterproof mascara. Overall application needs to be more than normal makeup.

Lips

Use lipstick and liner of same colour, in a shade darker than natural lip colour

6 Tips for Perfect Prom Night Makeup

Makeup is a very important part of your prom night look. Prom is a special night and therefore your makeup should reflect that. With a little know how, makeup can take you from ordinary to extraordinary. Look enchanting and radiant on your prom night with these makeup tips.

  1. Keep it Simple: At the mere mention of Prom, many girls assume they need to layer on the makeup to get that fashionable, special occasion look. In reality it's quite the opposite. Keeping your makeup simple can be the best way to achieve elegant beauty that will look great in prom pictures. The best way to keep it simple is to strike a balance. If you want to wear vibrant and elaborate eye makeup, choose a simple lip stick and vice versa. Simplicity will leave you looking radiant and refreshed without looking over done.
  2. Moisturize: Moisturizing is the key to successfully applying makeup for any occasion. Make it a point to moisturize in the weeks prior to prom so your skin will be primed for application. Moisturized skin will serve and a base for your makeup and will prevent things like caked or flakey foundation allowing for a more even appearance.
  3. Look to the Red Carpet: No one does glamor better than the celebrities on the red carpet. Not only do they generally dress in the latest fashions, they also know (or at least have makeup artists that know) the tricks of the makeup trade. Check out celebrity based magazines and look for makeup applications that you think would compliment your dress and your style. Use these as a guide when applying your makeup or take them with you if you a re having it professionally applied.
  4. Practice: Don't wait till the day of your prom to apply your makeup for the firs time. In the weeks leading up to the prom practice putting your makeup on experimenting with different color combinations and techniques until you discover what works best for you.
  5. Stick with Your Style: The prom is a one night occasion but that doesn't mean you need to find a one time style. If you tend to look better or feel more comfortable in brown eyeliner don't feel you need to switch to black for the prom. The same is true for your eye shadow and lip color. This doesn't mean you need to wear the same makeup you use everyday. Instead, use your daily makeup as inspiration for your prom night makeup. Choose colors that are similar but add a little extra to your appearance. For example, if you love a tawny eyeshadow, look for something in a similar color but with a shimmer to it. Play up what works best for you and you will be more than happy with the end results.
  6. Bring the Essentials With You: Even the best of makeup can get smudged on an action packed prom night. Take a few essentials with you to make sure you don't have a makeup or hair disaster. Be sure to put these items in your purse before you set foot out of the house:
    • lip gloss/ stick
    • extra bobby pins
    • small bottle of hair spray
    • blotting papers
    • mascara
    • mini mirror

Eye Make Up Color

With a host of beauty and make up products flocking the market, it becomes difficult to choose the right color for an eye make up. However, it is important to remember eye make up colors can be chosen according to the individuals' eye color and the grandeur of the occasion. Individuals need to understand that the eyelids have a darker shade than the rest of the face and can be oily in some cases that might lend a blotchy look to the color when applied on them. Deeply set eyes might hide the true color when the eyes are open. It is essential to clean the eye area properly and use concealer to hide the flaws of the entire eyelid. Application of loose powder would instantly make the area bright and control excessive oil. Highlighting the brow bones can then help in accentuating deeply set eyes.

Once the basic make up is complete, an appropriate make up color can be matched with the dress and eye color. Brown and rose shadows can compliment blue eyes very well providing a warm contrast to the cool blue eye color. Individuals with brown eyes can try gold and green shades preferable with a glittery texture. Green eyes go well with lavender and mocha shades giving a dramatic look and natural effect. While mocha can be ideal for day make up, lavender can light up the night occasions. Pale yellow and deep green are the shades of hazel eyes matching perfectly with the flecks of the eyes. Apart from these specific shades, the universal eyeliner colors that are used by everybody are chocolate, charcoal, and black for complementing any kind of eye shadow.

It is important to use lighter shades on the brow bones and darker ones on the eyelids to bring out the best effects. Eye glosses are the most recent trends of eye make up and add shimmer and shine to the applied colors. For applying powder eyeliners, running the brush under cold water and applying it wet on the eyes would provide a more intense color. While black shades provide a classy look, blue counteracts redness. Pink, white, and yellow liners make the eyes look brighter.

How to Buy Makeup Online

There are many places online to buy makeup. Make sure that you know what you want and research the product line before you buy. Look for testimonials about the products if you are not knowledgeable about the line. You can buy makeup from the makeup line webpage or from other sources such as Buy Dot Com, HSN, and QVC just to name a few.

Make sure there is an offer to refund your money if you do not like the product. Some offer a money back guarantee, but it is for a limited time. Give the makeup a few days to see how it reacts with your skin.

If you know a product line and you like the makeup; you might find it cheaper online. This is a great way to go to buy kits that include skincare and makeup. Often the kits will include makeup for the whole face, which can save you a lot of money.

There are often freebies that come along with the online purchase of makeup, like a free sample product, a makeup case, or coupons for future purchases. You can buy kits and give away what you do not use as gifts to friends and family.

Watch any demonstrations on use of the makeup which some shopping networks will do. Read the descriptions of the makeup. Look at the colors and choose colors that will compliment your skin and eye color. Often the kit will be offered in fair, light, medium, tan, and deep colors with corresponding blush, eye shadow and lipstick colors for that skin tone.

Ask friends if they have used any of the products. Look to see if they have a chat forum on the site so you can ask questions about products that you are interested in. The more you know the better you will be able to make an informed decision.

Many newer makeup lines show up on infomercials or online before they show up in the market place. This is a good time to try a new product as it is usually discounted and they offer a money back guarantee to get buyers to try the products.

Consider doing an online search about any product you might want to try. Also look at beauty forums to see what is used by many others. See the results that they have had. Remember that not everything will get a perfect score, but if there are many negative feedbacks then you might want to consider avoiding that product.

Only you know what you want in a makeup line. You know your skin. Stay away from products with many chemicals, the more natural the better. Do not be afraid to try new things, if you do not like it, send it back. You might just find a new favorite if you try a new product line.

Be sure to take in shipping and handling costs when purchasing products online. Some places offer free shipping on some purchases or if you spend a certain amount of money on their site. Do not be afraid to ask questions about makeup lines that you are unfamiliar with.

You are now ready to hit the web shopping! Have a great time and try some new things.

Makeup Tips For Teens

Cosmetics have become a part and parcel of our lives. Most of the cosmetics are actually used by teenagers now days. It is natural to look the best among their friends. So it is important that they understand few makeup tips that would surely help them. Because the youth today is easily thrilled to experiments with various beauty products, they are misled to use them incorrectly. So it is vital that they know about the dos and don't about makeup.

One thing to always keep in mind is that simplicity is the best. However, if you use a cosmetic, be sure that it is light. The skin's natural glow has to be maintained. So, gentle and safe products are recommended to be used. It is also necessary that you choose the colour according to your skin tone. Many colours are available but you have to choose the one that suits you. Any flaw in the skin like dark circles or scars can easily be covered by using concealing creams. But here also the cosmetic should suit your skin.

Black mascara goes well to further increase the beauty of your eyelashes. If you have cool skin type then it is better to opt for a pinkish blush shade. If your skin tone is warm, then you may choose a peach blush. Use cotton balls to perfectly blend the shades. It is very important to dress your eye nicely. It should shine and should not look dull. Many eye shadows serve this purpose. You can even take some advice from a beauty expert or get few tips from some magazines too.

When you prepare yourself for an outing, your makeup should give an impression as if you have been to a professional salon. It is important that you follow some guidelines. Firstly, make sure to use a hydrating lotion containing no oil and apply it on the face. If your face is hydrated, the makeup will stick to it well. Then apply some foundation using your fingertips on the areas you think requires it. Then apply a concealer around your eyes and properly and carefully smudge it. You can smudge it by applying a little powder over it. Leave it for a moment and retouch if it necessary.

Beauty and Makeup Tips For Looking Younger

As women get older, they often do one of two things - either wear more makeup to "cover" the signs of aging, or they wear less, thinking that it will sink in their wrinkles and only make them look older.

The good news is that as you age, it's not necessary to wear either more or less makeup. If you follow some basic tips, you can wear the same amount of makeup you wore before. The trick is in the planning and application.

First, keep your skin in good condition. This might not seem like a makeup tip, but it definitely is. When you keep your skin supple and smooth, makeup is easier to apply and it will look better on your skin. Foundation won't sit in the wrinkles, and overall you will look younger.

To keep your skin in good condition, make sure you:

Use a good quality cleanser and wash your face twice a day, perhaps less as you get older. Be sure to change your skin care regimen as your skin ages and it gets drier or changes texture.

Use a good quality wrinkle cream and be consistent in its application. Your skin will benefit from this regular boost of moisture.

Drink plenty of water. We all know how good water is for our bodies and our skin. Your skin will drink in the moisture and its overall condition and texture will improve.

Second, change your makeup regimen as you age. The same foundation and the same eye makeup won't necessarily flatter you in your 40s or 50s the way it did in your 20s.

Don't be afraid of color, but be aware that if your skin gets paler or a bit saggy as you age, you will have to be careful applying color. Instead of shying away from it, visit the makeup counter at your favorite department store and ask for some tips. Get a makeover, even. If you want to make a purchase, you can, but you don't to feel obligated to do so. You are trying to educate yourself.

Third, think about using products that you might have eschewed in your youth. For example, think about adding a concealer under the eyes, or filler on the lips. You might even consider a primer for your foundation. Primers are amazing products that can fill in lines and deep wrinkles first so your foundation goes on a blank (and smooth) canvas. Your makeup looks better as it goes on.

Finally, don't forget to change things up a bit. While you can wear the same amount of makeup (or even less, or more, it really doesn't matter), you should consider changing your color picks or types of makeup as you age.

You might find, for example, that you need much more moisture in your skin as you age. In that case, a stick foundation with a lot of moisture added might be a great choice. Or perhaps you have always lined your lips before applying lipstick, but find that now it only accentuates the wrinkles right above your lips. You might decide, then, to skip the liner and just wear lipstick.

Learning how to apply makeup correctly for your aging skin is vital. It can help you look younger and feel better about yourself, if done correctly.

Top Four Tips to Look Beautiful

Make up Tip #1: Building Strong Skin

Cleansing & moisturizing skin every morning & night are important pieces to the make up puzzle. Healthy skin is beautiful skin, & the better your skin, the better your make up will look. For optimally fit skin, it's important to consume nutritiously, steer clear of tanning, drink plenty of fluids, & wear sun block when out of doors, & avoid smoking & smoky atmospheres.

Make up Tip #2: Read Your Lips

• Lip liner
• Lip gloss

Painting lips should be left sweet & simple. Select a lighter shade of lip liner & line all about the lips. Be careful not to line on the outside of the lips - simply stick to what nature gave you. Fill in the lips with the liner & then wrap with a pale gloss. Don't go overboard with lips color lest you be left with Kool-Aid lips for the remaining day.

Make up Tip #3: The Eyes Have It

• Eye shadow
• Eye liner
• Mascara

A make up tip for teenagers concerning eyes is that less is certainly more. Too much eye make up can cause you to appear clownish or can create a needless harshness. Stick with naked colors like peaches, pale pinks, & tans for eye shadows, using just slightly darker shadow along the fold of the eye lid for sharpness. For color, aim using navy eye liner. This color will build the whites of the eyes emerge whiter.
Mascara plays a vital role in eye make up, & there are as numerous different types of mascaras as there are youthful women to try them. First learn what your wants are. If you have short lashes, Gaze for a lengthening formula. If your eye lashes tend to clump, hunt for mascara with an unraveling wand.

Make up Tip #4: Covering Basic Problems

• Concealed
• Powder
• Foundation

Acne is the plague of youth, but with the above items, most pimples can be covered well if not completely. The key is to choose both concealed & foundation that matches your skin tone. It is ideal to have a professional consultation performed to determine the perfect shade for your skin. If money is a concern, you can ask for samples from the area store performing the conference & use those samples to locate similar shades in less costly, drugstore brand make up.

How to Wear Makeup and Still Look Natural (Part 2)

In part 1 we talked about how to apply our foundation and blush to look natural. Now we'll discuss lipstick and eye make up

So here we go Makeup Tips Part 2 or...
"How to apply eye make without looking like you've gone 3 rounds with Joe Frazier"

In other words don't overdo it. Subtle is the word here!

Eyeshadow - There's a rainbow of colours now available, unlike when I grew up, green and blue were almost all that we could get (boring!) So have fun and experiment, but bear a few tips in mind.

Keep bright colours for evening use only.

Don't use frosted, glitter or metallic shadows if you're over about 25! You'll accentuate any fine lines. There's also a theory that the small glitter particles can pass through the fine eyelid membranes and lodge in the eye. (I don't know for sure if this is true, but it's enough to make your eyes water!)

Use dark colours to shrink and light colours for emphasis.

Blend blend blend blend! between colours. Use a brush or fingers (gently does it)

Use a lighter colour on the inner edge of eyes to "open" and darker colours on the outer edge for a dramatic look.

It's best to use no more than 2 colours at a time (unless you're super clever) Make sure to use the same colour tone. Hot colours are bronze, taupe and gold. Sheer colours will look more natural.

*Special tip* - Don't use an eye shadow that's the same colour as your eyes. Contrast will bring our your eye colour better. For example if your eyes are blue use a brown or taupe shade. Brown eyes look fabulous with most colours - except brown.

Mascara - If you only do one thing then make it mascara! It has the most impact of all make up.

Start at the root of the lashes and move up. Make sure you include the tiny lashes at the inner corners.

Put an extra coat on the outer corners too. This will make your eyes look "larger".

Wipe brush with a tissue to remove any "blobs".

Don't use a lash comb afterwards, instead use a clean wand (wash your old one and use that)

If adding a second coat, do it before the first one dries.

Mascara can "go off" quickly. Replace every 4 months to avoid eye infections.

Don't overdo it. Too much will stick your lashes together and look unnatural.

To widen eyes, use an eyelash curler - before applying mascara.

If your eyelashes are very sparse, try false lashes, these can look great if applied properly!

*Special tip* - If you have small eyes, don't use mascara on your bottom lashes. This can make your eyes appear smaller.

Eyebrows - Pluck only under your brows to create a good shape. If your brows tend to meet in the middle then you can pluck here too, but be careful. A beautician can wax this area for you the first time so you can maintain it yourself in future.

If you have sparse or light eyebrows use a pencil one shade darker than your brows, but no darker than your hair colour. Blondes are best using a light brown pencil.

If your brows already look good, try adding some shine with a slick of Vaseline or sheer lip gloss.

Use a brush to blend pencil at all times.

*Special tip* - If your eyes are too close together, start your brows more toward the middle of the eye. Try this with a pencil first. Don't pluck before you're sure it suits you!

Lipstick - The best thing I can tell you about lipstick is to use a lip brush. Yes it takes a little longer to apply, but you'll get an even application of colour and stay within the lip line.

Make sure your lips aren't dry or flaky, use Vaseline or moisturizer before applying lipstick.

If your lips are too thin, draw a line just slightly outside your normal lip line with a lip liner pencil (careful!)

If you want your lips to be the focal point of your face, use a strong colour and use less eye make-up.

For lasting colour that doesn't come off on your coffee cup (or his cheek!), blot lips and re apply. Blot again.

Use a gloss over your lippie for impact!

Practice makes perfect when applying make up. If you do it often enough, you'll be able to apply make-up in the dark, without a mirror and with both hands tied behind your back (Just joking but you know what I mean!)

How to Wear Make Up and Still Look Natural

There are some who wouldn't be caught dead in public without make up and then there are some who refuse to wear make up at all and prefer the natural look.

Some people have told me they like to let their skin breathe. Well don't worry about it! There's plenty of skin on your body, let the rest of it do the breathing! Your skin is fed from the inside and won't suffer so long as you make sure you cleanse at the end of the day.

But you can actually create a natural look using make up. That way you can have that clean fresh appearance while being able to disguise those flaws that you (and probably only you!) dislike.

So let's have a basic lesson on how to apply make up to create a fresh natural look.

Natural make up techniques

We'll look at base (foundation), concealer, powder and blush this time and in part 2 go on to how to apply make up for the eyes and mouth.

In the case of applying make up the term "less is more" definitely applies! If your going to enjoy a big night out on the town that's different - use your bright eye shadow, lippie and glittery mascara. You can put on a bit more foundation too, to create a flawless palate on which to "paint" your masterpiece!

But during the day whether you're at work, at home or hitting the shops you don't want to look like Coco the clown! Too much makeup can actually appear very ageing.

So let's start with a really clean face. For daytime use a moisturizing sunscreen or sun block. If your skin is oily use a non oily one, if it's very dry use both moisturizer and sun block.

Make up base (or foundation) comes in many types, liquid, stick, cream etc. Mostly this is a matter of preference although the stick or "solid" base usually has a better coverage and will hide things like broken veins almost completely. The liquid bases have a lighter coverage and will give a more natural look.

If your skin is oily, the dry compact bases work well, or opt for an oil free liquid one. Dry skins like the cream bases which give a moist 'dewy' appearance.

Make sure the base you choose matches the colour of your skin as closely as possible. Don't try and create a darker sun tanned look with your base, there are bronzing powders specially created for this. Go outside the store when selecting different colours and make sure they look ok in natural light. It's best to test on your jaw line rather your wrist.

Don't buy pre-packaged make-up bases from the supermarket, you'll not be able to try them on!

Concealers are great for that natural look, you can cover blemishes and broken veins with a concealer without having to use a heavy base all over your face.

Concealers also come in different forms but they all do the same job. You can buy them with built in sunscreen and also with anti bacterial additives if you like. Try to find one just slightly lighter than your skin tone.
Pat the concealer onto the area you wish to cover. Don't rub hard or it will disappear into your pores. Make sure it is blended well and has no "tide marks".

Now dot the base onto your face. Use the sheerest one you can. Don't use too much at first, you can always add more.

Blend really well. Some make up artists recommend a damp sponge, but fingers work just as well. Make sure you blend into the hairline, sides of face, around the nose and particularly the jaw line. Don't just stop at the jaw, your face will look like a mask. Just blend away to nothing before your throat, that way you won't get make-up stains on your collar.

Powder is optional but I like to use it as it "sets" your make-up and absorbs excess oil. Press the powder onto your face with a puff or you may prefer to use a powder brush. After a couple of minutes brush the powder off using light downward strokes.

Next apply blusher. Brush this lightly on the apple of your cheeks and up towards the temples. Don't put too much on your brush, you can always go over it again. If you are using a cream blusher, apply this before powder. Dot onto the apple of your cheeks and blend in up to the temples. Blend really well!

Now for my special tip. Place a cool damp (not wet) face washer over your face and press very gently. this will give the whole face a fresh look - Gorgeous!

Makeup Care - Top 10 Makeup Mistakes

ONE - Wearing dark lip liner with light lipstick is way out of date. Wearing matching liner and lipstick is the rule of the day for the new millennium. Make up that is understated is more in line with today's more natural look.

TWO - Using your lip liner to draw a line that extends beyond your natural lip line is passé. Keep your lip line natural. There are newer products out now that can help plump up your lips. Hot lips types of lip glosses or enhancers are now available that can increase your lip's volume.

THREE - Drawn in eyebrows are also a thing of the past. There is now eyebrow powder that you can use to enhance your eyebrow's natural line. These powders are a more subtle look.

FOUR - Eyeliner is a tricky thing. Keeping it in control can create a sexy look, while extending eyeliner too far past the corner of the eye can be over done. The Cleopatra look is great for Halloween, but for everyday it just appears overdone.

FIVE - Clumpy mascara just simply looks very bad. This is where purchasing better cosmetics is worth it. Some of the cheaper brands clump up terribly or use a brush that isn't adequate. There are some low cost mascaras that really are good. Loreal has a few good ones.

SIX - Glaring blush is a definite 80's look. Use a large blush brush to apply blush so you get a nice blended look that is more natural. You want people to see your whole face when they look at you, for an overall appearance. You don't want them to be seeing just your cheeks.

SEVEN - There are different colors of mascara available today, teal being one of them. Teenagers can get away with the more exotic colors, but for a sophisticated look go for dark blue. This is for the woman who wants to be taken seriously.

EIGHT - I've seen many women make this mistake...they cake on foundation over problem skin. I need to first say that there is much that can be done today for women with problem skin. There are many products that can clear up skin issues, such as rosacea, acne or brown spots. For the women who have more serious issues, there are laser treatments, peels, microdermabrasion, and facials. Be sure to use mineral makeup if you have acne prone skin. If you have fine lines you can mix a quality moisturizer with your foundation to help fill in the fine lines.

NINE - Foundation should be blended at the jaw line. Many women just don't seem to catch this mistake even though they are looking in the mirror when applying their makeup! Most importantly, you need to pick a foundation color that closely matches your skin color. Use a sponge to apply makeup, which will go a long way in helping to blend your foundation line.

TEN - It used to be the thing a few years ago to line the eyelid half way with eyeliner. Today the advice is to open the eyes with a softer look by applying a powder liner and outlining the whole eye area above and below the eye.

Today's beautiful woman is one who appears confident and well maintained, and by all means, in control of her looks. She knows that she is a whole package and not just individual features. The first thing that makes an impression is your face when meeting new people. Dress your face with makeup as well as you would dress your body with clothes.

Top Beauty Tips For Teenagers

As a teenager, it is important to appear natural as much as possible. It's not quite recommended to put on all those make-ups for an every day wear for maintenance. Generally, teenagers would only require light and mild maintenance on their looks as well as on their skin. Because just like the babies, they still have that kind of gentle skin and young look. Good Makeup Tips for Teenagers

Many moms and dads have for years fretted over the over-use of makeup on their teenage girls. With these makeup tips for teenagers, however, your teen can look pretty yet natural all at once.

Teenagers have the advantage of already having natural and young looking skin, so the use of their makeup should be natural and as light as possible. Subtle is best with teens, and makeup should match the teenager's skin tone as much as possible. There are many makeup tips for teenagers that will transform your teen into a natural beauty without being too obvious about it!

First comes the concealer. Concealer is used more for covering blemishes, acne, dark circles or any imperfections. A concealer should be light enough to match your skin tone, but dark enough to cover what it has to. After concealer, a light foundation may be used. With teens, this step is probably not even necessary, as most teenagers' skin tones are already even. The next step is to apply a light dusting of face powder. One of the best makeup tips for teenagers is to pat powder on sparingly; you do not want it to look caked on. A foundation with an SPF of 15 or higher is also recommended for use, as it helps protect the skin from the harmful sun's rays.

Next, start at the top. Use an old toothbrush to brows the eyebrows into place. Pluck any stray hairs. You can use a soft eye pencil to fill in any gaps you may have in your eyebrows, but again with teenagers, this step may not be necessary. Next, you can apply a thin line of eyeliner on the lid of the eye, right above the eyelashes, and blend it in well. You may apply a bit on the lower eye, as well, but not too much that you look like a raccoon. Mascara can come next, just a few quick sweeps of a black or brown shade.

The last makeup tips for teenagers is the use of a light blush, blended well, to give your cheeks some color. Depending on the color tone of your skin, you can go either light or a little darker. Finish up with some light, clear lip-gloss and you're all ready! Teenage girls can get away with adding some sparkles to their makeup routine for a night out on the town, a dance or a party.

    3 Makeup Styles For Parties

Going for a Christmas party, a new year party or a birthday party? How are you going to do your makeup?

A look at the models on the catwalks of some of the more flamboyant fashion shows reminds one of a cross between Tinkerbell and Xena, the warrior princess. You know, Amazonian height but with fairy makeup.

Now that is a look which is perfect for parties. All you need is shimmer makeup.

A point to note. Anyone above forty should avoid all out shimmer as while the shine highlights facial features, it also draws attention to existing fine lines and wrinkles. If you are young and your face is line-free, fantasy makeup is the way to go.

    Makeup Style #1. Fantasy Makeup.

For that ethereal look, get a shimmery eye shadow or a shimmer powder in silver, gold, bronze, or any flattering color that captures your fancy. You would also need a brilliant lip gloss to go over your lipstick.

Wear a lipstick that you like, which flatters you. Then go over it with the shimmery gloss. Add some shimmer powder or gold or silver flecks to the center of your lip to emphasize your pout.

For the eyes, how far dare you go?

You can apply metallic eyeshadow over your entire eyelid for a real head turning look.
Or you could use a more neutral shade like peach, brown or lilac, but highlight the inner corner of the eye by lining it with a silver or gold eye pencil.

The lash out with black mascara.
If you like, you could even attach crystals to your eye lashes, with false lash glue. Or you could use a metallic mascara for gorgeous, magical lashes.

Finally, take a large powder brush and lightly dust shimmer powder over your cheekbones, your forehead, nose and chin.

Makeup Style #2. Dramatic Eye Makeup

Do you want Egyptian makeup or smoky eye makeup?
    Both feature dramatic eyes.
However, strong eyes and strong lips would clash, so keep your look classy by going for nude lips.

For starters, do you want to use false lashes as well?

If you want really dramatic lashes, start off by trimming false lashes to fit your eyes and applying them according to the manufacturer's instructions. Or you could just use 3 coats of mascara instead when you are done.

With a makeup brush, put on the eyeshadow over the entire eyelid. For the Egyptian look, you can go for a medium shade of eye shadow, but use liquid black liner to draw a thick line on the upper lash line. Thicken the line as you move towards and beyond the outer corner of the eye. Line the lower lash line with an eye pencil if you find the liquid liner too tricky. How to apply eye make up - eyeliner

For smokey eyes, go for a deeper eyeshadow like charcoal, plum, midnight blue, deep green.. you get the picture. Apply the shadow over the entire eye lid. Then line upper and lower lashes with a black eye pencil and smudge the line. Finally, apply mascara.

Pick a nude shade for the lipstick or use a light lip gloss so that your lips do not compete with your eyes.

If you want goth makeup, leave your cheeks pale. If not, then use a blusher to contour your face or for radiance. Here's an article on how to apply blusher.

    Makeup Style #3. Luscious lips.

If your lips are sensuous, or anything remotely like Angelina Jolie's, then focus on your lips.
For your eyes, apply a peach or nude brown shadow and a single coat of mascara.
Then choose a strong red lipstick, or a deep wine shade for your lips.

Use a lip pencil to line the lips. The use a lip brush to fill in your lips with your chosen lipstick. Use some blusher to add color to your cheeks and you are done.

These tips assume that you already have a great base to work with. Meaning, start off with foundation over your face for a great canvas. Read http://www.cheapestsale.com/health/makeup.html for more makeup tips

Fall 2008 and Winter 2009 Makeup and Beauty Trends

Glamour, femininity and the strong woman look will continue to be the top beauty trends for this fall and winter.

Purple is a top color for fall and makeup colors in purple and berry will be among the most popular.

Lip colors are varied this season - red lipstick is back, along with rich berry lips, but neutral lips with pink, brown or peach colors are in also style and the best choice if you are emphasizing your eyes.

Speaking of eyes, the smoky eye look is still in fashion, maybe even stronger than ever. For the last few years the "toned down" smoky eye was in, this season all eye makeup is darker and bolder. Be prepared to see lots of black eyeliner. Eye shadows are moving away from the pastels and brighter colors back to earth tones and neutrals, but will be applied darker to create a stronger look. Even "cat eyes" are trendy right now (if you dare!). Don't forget tons of black mascara or your favorite false eyelashes!

Gold and bronze colored cosmetics are one of the hottest newer trends, especially in eye shadows and nail polish. The other big nail color for the season is dark plum.

Heavier eyebrows are back in style, thin plucked eyebrows are out of style this fall.

Mineral makeup continues to be a top trend. The look for faces is natural and nude, mineral makeup is the choice of an every growing number of women for a natural look.

The top trendy hairstyles for fall are long - either straight or wavy, or super short. There is not much middle ground. The longer hair styles are also in style with a ponytail of loose bun.

Just pick you favorite trend for fall 2008 - red lips or dramatic eyes - and go for it! Just remember to keep everything else toned down so you do not look overly made up.

10 Factors That Make People Buy Online

Most of the people who visit your site will still find the idea of ordering online unusual. So your site needs to inspire visitors with confidence. It should say that yours is the kind of company that does things right, and that if they order something from you, it will be a good experience.

I hope everyone will be challenged to make their site an e-commerce site. If you want to start accepting credit cards on your site but don't want to pay monthly bills and high set-up fees, please email me at subscribe@weblord2000.com and I'll be glad to be of service to you.

I've gathered 10 factors that will turn visitors into profits.

    1. Work works.

I think hard work is the secret to succeeding in almost anything especially on the web.

The web levels the corporate playing field. A high school student is bound to make a better web site than a large industrial company. On the web, how big you are matters less than how hard you work.

Large corporations need a large amount of investment to stay on the web but if you are willing to work hard, you don't need a lot of money to get started.

    2. Choose the right niche.

As a general rule, whatever sells in print catalog will also sell on the internet. If the customer has to see something before buying it, then you probably can't sell it in a print catalog or online. Otherwise, you should be able to sell almost anything.

Someone who works with computers is almost certain to have web access, so anything computer-related is likely to do comparatively well. And Internet users are richer and better educated than the population as a whole, so luxury items may do well.

More important than the type of products you sell is the size of the niche you choose. In the physical world, niches are based on geography. I often buy food at the corner store near my house. Despite the small selection and high prices. So in the physical world, proximity is king.

It's different on the Internet, geography is almost irrelevant on it. Niches on the Internet are based on what you sell, not where you are. So the key here is to choose a niche small enough that you can dominate it. Small manufacturers may be the biggest internet winners because they can dominate a niche.

    3. High Production Values.

In a print catalog, "production values" refers to the quality of the paper and printing process used. High production values convince consumers to buy in print catalogs so goes on the web. Consumers will not buy from an amateurish web site.

If your company is unable to put up a good professional web site, then it seems natural to assume that your company cannot deliver good products or services.

    4. Make your site easy.

If you want people who visit your site to order online, don't put any obstacles in their way. Whatever you do, don't force visitors to register.

Most major sites have learned not to require registration. Place your navigation system somewhere on top or on the left side constantly displaying on your site. Make it easy for all kinds of people (both laymen and technically inclined) to find their way on your site. You might was well include a search engine of some sort to your products database. A small button leading to the home page would add to the friendliness of your site.

    5. Be real.

Don't play hide-and-seek from your visitors. Include your name, phone number, email address and street address to show that you are a real person with real products and services to sell.

Some marks of a fly-by-night company is it doesn't have any labels. Show your visitors that you care by including your contact number and the time you wish to be called. Remember, anything you do to show that you are real will help increase orders.

    6. Emphasize service.

You have to (many times) reassure your visitors that you are determined to provide great customer service. Tell it straight on your site by simply placing a text that says: "We guarantee that you will be satisfied with our products and services or we will refund your money with no questions asked." Your site should offer secure online ordering.

When a customer does send you email, respond promptly, customers who have taken the time to send you email are like gold so treat them like one. You have to reply eventually, so why not do it right away?

    7. Promote your site.

Having a great web site is not enough, you also need to let the people know it. For a starter, try submitting your site to seven famous search engines: AltaVista, Excite, Web Crawler, InfoSeek, Lycos, Hotbot and Yahoo.

Capitalize on a few keywords at first and then increase it. Reciprocal links are also a good traffic booster. If you have to place a link to your site, request that the other party link to you as well. Link to the same category and turn them into a coo-peting site (cooperate + competition) if you know what I mean!

Target banner ads are a big plus too.

    8. Capitalize on sales not on hits.

You might boastfully say that I got half a million hits a day but the question is how many are turned into sales? Imagine seeing a "sales counter" on a site instead of a "hit counter."

Ordering online is quite an adventure for most of us and people love to tell such stories to their friends. They could be the most valuable free ad for you. Online shopping is still in its infancy that web users haven't yet found their regular web stores. This is good news for all of us that it means that there are still rooms for us in a list of regular online stores.

For example, I have dedicated a section called "Market Place" just for this one and I made sure people will not leave my site empty-handed.

    9. Change your site.

Regular change in a web site is one way of telling that your web site is inhabited. Frequently changing sites means it's expensive and caters to "expensive" visitors. For example, major online stores are expensive because the site is maintained by web consultants who charge by the hour.

Fortunately, there are tools to make life on the web easier.

One easy (lazy) way to make your site "look" constantly updated is to list featured items on the front page and rotate them every few days. Implementing a weekly or monthly them will also do the trick.

    10. Think Globally.

There's no shortage of marketable consumers on the web for our prospects is the entire world.

    Natural Makeup

People generally wear makeup because it makes them feel better about the way they present themselves to the world. Makeup can give you a glow and can cover the blemishes and acne you might not feel comfortable displaying to the people around you. However, sometimes makeup can create a vicious cycle, just creating more blemishes on your face by clogging your pores. This is why it is important to buy makeup for sensitive skin. Natural cosmetics will help give your skin a shiny glow, while creating safe and healthy skin with a youthful effervescence. One type of makeup that creates natural beauty is mineral makeup. This is the latest addition to an emerging beauty culture dedicated to better living. Unlike traditional products, mineral makeup, which is based on a hypoallergenic loose powder that naturally hydrates your skin, contains no perfumes, talc, alcohol, dyes, mineral oil or preservatives.

This makeup can have spf that will protect your skin from sun. The sun is the number-one aging agent, which makes it very important to stay out of. Mineral makeup's zinc oxide offers natural UVA-UVB protection. This type of makeup will make your skin look better. The old makeup phrase "putting on your face" may soon be obsolete. People love when people tell me my skin looks great, because the makeup is obviously invisible. It can look and feel like you're wearing nothing at all, like a silky top layer of your very own skin.

The natural makeup product contains ingredients that are good for skin. For women who can't get to a spa, triple-milled minerals like titanium, gold, zinc, magnesium and aluminum naturally relax, refresh and rejuvenate the skin, and offer a genuine beauty solution in the comfort home. These natural cosmetics can be used after peels as well. Skin procedures such as lasers and peels are common. Minerals are the natural choice to calm and soothe red, bruised, itchy, inflamed and flaking skin. This product hides imperfections, then camouflages with minerals that actually block the sun, which is crucial after aggressive treatments. In fact, after certain treatments, you shouldn't use sunscreens. Minerals cool the skin and encourage faster healing. You can sleep in it as well.

This makeup will not enhance wrinkles like traditional powders. If you have fine lines or crow's-feet, traditional makeup can cake in those places, often creating an illusion of deeper lines. Minerals create real health and a glow like we had in our teens and 20s through essential vitamins, antioxidants and ingredients that actually hydrate the skin and conceal wrinkles.

It is good for sensitive skin as well. Several of women struggle with acne, allergies, dryness and clogged pores from unfriendly commercial makeup. Mineral makeup lets you enhance skin care with positive beauty choices, not create more problems. In addition, it does not feel like a mask. For some women, traditional makeup, often heavier, can feel like a mask. Mineral makeup's texture is lighter and different. Even with more coverage, experts say you will see a natural, translucent radiance and more of your skin.
